About
An independent roller skating guide, written by one person.
Roller Magic publishes independent roller skating guides, gear information, and a community events calendar. The goal is simple: help you skate better, choose gear worth your money, and find people to roll with.
Who writes Roller Magic
Roller Magic is run and written by one person, the Roller Magic Creator. There is no editorial team, no panel of coaches, and no content department. If a page on this site ever says "we", read it as "I". Everything here is written and maintained by the same single person, and this page will be updated if that ever changes.

How I write and source gear guides
I do not personally test the gear featured on Roller Magic. Gear guides follow a simple, honest research process:
- Research. I cross-reference manufacturer specifications, long-form reviews from established skate publishers and creators, and discussion from experienced skaters to understand a product's real-world reputation.
- Criteria. Each category has fixed criteria (comfort, durability, price, skill-level fit). Products are compared on the same axes so a beginner pick is not ranked against a pro race boot.
- Disclosure. Some gear pages include affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence which products appear or how they are ranked. See the full affiliate disclosure.
- Updates. Pages get revisited when new data or new product generations appear. Every article shows the last-updated date at the top.
What Roller Magic does not do
- Claim personal testing that did not happen.
- Invent credentials, certifications, or a team that is not real.
- Accept sponsored placement in favor of a specific product.
- Rewrite or republish other sites' articles. Every page on Roller Magic is original research and writing.
